Matthew and Rebekah were married at Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Valencia, Pa. on September 19, 2009. The reception was at Armstrong Farms’ breathtaking Westminster Preserve, which could not have made for a more perfect location for the laid-back, country-style couple. I wish the best to the two of them as they make the move to Wyoming together!

Before the ceremony, Bekah asked me if I could take a photo of the two of them without letting them see each other. It was such an emotional moment as they held hands from opposite sides of the door.

What a great idea! They used an old-fashioned carriage as a place for guests to put their gifts!

Another cute idea: after throwing the bouquet and the garter they threw bags of candy for the kids!

Robert and Lindsey weren’t particularly thrilled with their wedding photographer’s work so they decided to get all dressed up again and do a “trash the dress” session with me a few weeks after their wedding. I can’t tell you how much fun the three of us had driving around Beaver County looking for the dirtiest shooting locations we could find. We started out at the New Brighton Tunnel, made our way up to the abandoned train station in Beaver Falls and finshed at Buttermilk Falls, where both Robert and Lindsey ended up taking a swim. They were great sports about the hot sun on the train tracks and the frigid September water at the falls and they didn’t complain once!

Josh and Roxy were married at the charming and sweet Old St. Luke’s Church in Carnegie. Following the ceremony, we were able to take a few pictures at the cemetery next to the church before heading over to her parent’s property, where we took the rest of their photos while the guests were getting settled under the tent. The reception was beautifully done, with Roxy’s D.I.Y. projects everywhere — from the clothesline seating chart to the centerpieces to the wood stump cake stand (which held a gorgeous cake made by the Matron-of-Honor).

Here are a few of my favorites from the day:
